Breaking Grime is owner-operated by Ana and Phil. That means when you book a job, you're not getting whoever was free that morning — you're getting one of us, on the rig, doing the work. We pick the chemistry, we set the pressure, we walk the site with you when we're done. No franchise, no sub-contractor, no second-guess on the quote. Just us.
Why we do this.
We started Breaking Grime because we wanted to be outside, see the results we made, and build something with longevity — something we could one day pass to our kids if they want it. That's a lot to put on a pressure washer, but it's the truth. When you're building for the long run, every job has to count. So every job does.
What that actually means for you.
"Owner-operated" sounds like a buzzword, so here's what it means in practice: we show up when we said we would. We quote what it'll cost — no padding, no surprises. If something goes wrong on a job, we own it. If something on your property is risky to clean a certain way, we'll tell you, not power through it.
Up to date on the boring stuff.
Pressure washing changes more than people realise. New equipment, new chemicals, new techniques, new safety standards. We invest in staying current — fully insured to $20M, safety-trained, approvals renewed, equipment maintained. Brisbane render in 2026 isn't the same as Brisbane render in 2016, and we'd rather spend on being right than save on being cheap.
What we don't do.
We're a clearer business when you know what we're not. Here's what we won't take on:
- We don't paint roofs — we only clean them.
- We don't do interior pressure work.
- We don't subcontract — every job is us.
- We won't pressure-clean surfaces that shouldn't be (we'll soft-wash or tell you).
The chemistry, in plain English.

We match the cleaner to the surface — pH-balanced for paint, soft-wash for organic growth, targeted degreasers for oil. The chemistry does the work. The pressure just rinses it off.
